Use of NYSH&TA Information - Email Forwarding by Non-Members
As we track NYSH&TA’s email and data distribution, it has come to our attention that our e-newsletters are being received by non-member organizations/hotels and then being forwarded to other non-members who are opening the emails at an alarmingly high rate. This is not fair to hard-working, dues paying members. We can track this with our email platform, and we will continue to closely monitor.
NYSH&TA works diligently with its legislative and legal counsel to bring our dues-paying members exclusive, relevant information to help operate their businesses more efficiently and stay informed with the latest legislative and regulatory guidelines (especially during the COVID19 pandemic). In the coming weeks, we will monitor this issue closely. If we see a trend, NYSH&TA President, Mark Dorr, will reach out to discuss membership with the non-member organizations. Though we encourage our members to disseminate our information, we respectfully ask that the proper attribution is given to NYSH&TA (many of our tourism partners do this wonderfully and we thank you). To those dues-paying members who use our information properly, and with attribution, we thank you for your support.
