Foundation

History

The New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association officially incorporated its scholarship fund into an Education Foundation in 1999. In a show of appreciation to Fred England and his late wife Gertrude’s longtime involvement and dedication to the scholarship program, the Foundation voted to change its name in May 2001. It is now called the Fred and Gertrude England Hospitality Education Foundation and its mission is to assist in the educational development of hospitality students by offering individual scholarships to member employees and/or their dependents.
