Mission Statement

The mission of the Fred and Gertrude England Hospitality Education Foundation is to assist in the educational development of hospitality students by offering individual scholarships to member employees or their dependents.

Education Foundation History

The New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association officially incorporated its scholarship fund into an Education Foundation in 1999. In appreciation to Fred England and his late wife Gertrude's longtime involvement and dedication to the scholarship program, the Foundation voted to change its name in May, 2001 to the Fred and Gertrude England Hospitality Education Foundation.

Fundraisers

NYSH&TA sponsors the annual Saratoga Summer Fundraiser every summer to benefit the Hospitality Education Foundation. This fundraising event is held at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, NY and all proceeds benefit the scholarship fund. Other fundraising events are held throughout the year.
